Robert is pastor of Bradford-on-Avon Baptist Church in Wiltshire and formerly served as Principal of London Seminary, where he continues to teach church history.
Before training for pastoral ministry at London Seminary, Robert was a solicitor in private practice, working in London and Brussels. He was then pastor of an evangelical church in Banbury for eight years. Robert’s PhD was on Philip Doddridge and early 18th century Dissent. Robert served as Principal of London Seminary from 2007 to 2017.
He writes and speaks regularly on biblical and historical topics, as well as issues related to pastoral ministry.
Robert is married to Sarah and they have three sons.
