Thank you for taking the time to explore the benefits and virtues of the CSB Anglicised a little further – we’re glad that you’re here, and we’re happy to share resources that will help you and/or your church to have a better picture of what the CSB Anglicised is all about.
To get you started, you may wish to simply read the text of the CSB for yourself. This PDF allows you to do that. We strongly recommend that you read the ‘Introduction’ from the translators, as this provides an excellent picture of what distinguishes the CSB as a Bible version. Please note that the linked PDF is to the general release CSB at this stage (without anglicisation) but it allows a preview of what the translation is like.
To go a little deeper, this PDF by Dr. Andi Wu of Global Bible Initiative, evaluates the reliability and readability of the CSB in comparison to eight other major translations. At the risk of giving spoilers, the CSB emerges very well from this study as a Bible that is faithful to the original languages and transparent in its English rendering.
Verse comparisons can be a really helpful way of comparing the relative values and outcomes behind the translation process. This PDF lays out a visual map of how the CSB compares to other popular translations in terms of clarity and faithfulness.
Further resources will be released following the publication of Why Choose the CSB Anglicised? written by Andrew Roycroft, and published by Grace Publications. This will include additional materials that simply couldn’t fit into the dimensions of our short guide, which could be of benefit to those deliberating over whether the CSBA is the Bible for them.
